I love playing basketball on the weekend ... not just because I love basketball and I don't get a chance to play during the week over the summer since I'm working 9-5, but because weekend basketball, not to try and sound profound or anything, is like really an opportunity to meet people you'd otherwise never spend time with ... basketball during the week is a bunch of frat boys and wannabe athletes like myself, but on the weekend, you get the alumni, the faculty, and the guys that clean the toilets all on the same court and its really pretty cool.

They play with passion, because its probably the only time all week they get to play too. In the downtime between games, they talk about their family, their shitty jobs, etc, etc and you realize you're pretty lucky to still only be 21. Lately I've been feeling pretty old, but nothing like taking a 40-year olds elbow to the jaw to remind me I'm just a kid.
