In any event, all that sleep powered a great workout this morning that went for about an hour and a half ... breezed through the first hour of the workday before fielding a call from a reporter with the Patent Trader, the big weekly newspaper in Westchester. Had a good 20-30 minute talk with him about MindSay and there will be an article in next week's edition. The guy even asked me to name teachers that influenced me (I hope he includes the shout outs to Alleyne and Terlizzi) and requested a big picture of me and Brian. Although after the Wash Post experience I won't trust anything until I see it printed, I feel fairly confident this guy won't slight us
After that, breezed into lunch where we celebrated yet another intern's departure. OK lunch wasn't a highlight maybe, but our VP actually came and I made the usual favorable impression with my witty remarks and great "pretend to care" face
then my boss head for the hills around 4 which opened up the last hour of the day for a Dunkin Donuts run with my favorite co-worker and hung out there for a while. Usually I would feel a bit guilty about that, but the rest of the "team" basically followed my boss out the door. So I came back at 5, sent my timecard, and that was that.
Traffic sucked, but I had a good talk with my dad on the ride home and called up a couple other people to ease the pain of Friday traffic on the Beltway.
Got home and still had plenty of energy so I went on a nice little 4 mile run which went very well. I usually measure what kind of shape I'm in by how I feel when I go running (which is rare) as opposed to bball or riding a stationary bike, and I ran quite well and could probably do some more if I really wanted to.
and that's my Friday ... unless Brian ever wakes up and maybe we polish off these brews in the fridge
