Introducing MindSay Pages!
We are excited to introduce a major new feature - MindSay pages! MindSay pages let you find people with similar interests - then create an ongoing, interactive web page dedicated to that interest where anyone can contribute. If you're familiar with "wiki's" - this is a similar concept, but with a MindSay twist.
We've setup two pages with a bit more explanation about the feature here:
http://www.mindsay.com/mindsaypages.mws
http://www.mindsay.com/guidelines.mws
In addition to a section where you can add/edit content about an interest - say "Green Day" - using HTML/CSS, there are member pictures, as well as a place to comment about the topic. We want pages to serve as a place for creativity and discussion. You are ENCOURAGED to add to and edit other people's work and make the pages more enjoyable for all members. You can discuss changes and talk about the topic at hand in the comments area - which functions just like the comment areas on our blogs.
A few members that helped us test have already collaborated on some pages to give you an example:
http://www.mindsay.com/wiki/Lost
http://www.mindsay.com/wiki/office+space
http://www.mindsay.com/wiki/Smallville
http://www.mindsay.com/wiki/adult+swim
http://www.mindsay.com/wiki/Trainspotting
http://www.mindsay.com/wiki/Kelly+Clarkson
http://www.mindsay.com/wiki/John+Mayer
Feel free to add ANYTHING! The idea is to add lots and lots of content to make the page more informative and entertaining, not just to make a cool design (though that is good too!).
Eventually, pages will be linked with user profiles, so if I list "Office Space" as one of my favorite movies, users will be able to click it and go to the Office Space page.
Right now we want users to play with the 10 or so pages that our testers have built and give us some feedback. We've also put up a link to "new page" that will let you request topics for new pages - which we'll create as the demand for them builds.
Let me know what you think!
