Since there seemed to be a fair amount of interest in the talk radio show idea, I thought I'd post an update. The company we're working with potentially on the project is blogtalkradio.com. The service is free, and allows you to do all the basic things you need for an online radio show - streaming, handling callers, etc. Also, they are happy to spend some time helping you learn the software and do a test show. So, if you're interested in starting your own show, I suggest you just head over there and sign up. Then, let me know that you did, and I'll make sure they take good care of all of us =)

Meanwhile, I'm also thinking we should have a MindSay "official" show of sorts where users can call in and talk to me and/or Brian. In addition to a few other ideas I'm thinking about for the format:

1. Musical Guest - The folks at Blog Talk Radio think it would be cool if we featured up and coming bands, and think we could get some pretty good guests since we have a mildly popular site with lots of users that listen to music. So, we could play some new music, and then either have listeners call in and or pre-submit questions for the artist.
2. Review the top blogs - Chat about some of the top voted items of the week.
3. Guest user host - Just a random MindSay user that wants to be on the show and chat.
   
4. Take user calls - Give you all an opportunity to call in and say whatever is on your mind concerning MindSay.  I look forward to tootboy calling in about how much Latest Comment sucks, if it's not removed by the time the show debuts
5. Open to other ideas?

In any event it seems like a lot of fun, hopefully a bunch of us can have shows and it will be a new way to get to know each other better.  Let me know what you think and definitely drop me a message if you decide to start your own show.
